WWA Wakeboard World Championships

For the first time since 2004, the top pro and amateur wake athletes on the planet will battle it out on the waters of Orlando, Fla., for world titles, as the ROCKSTAR WWA Wakeboard World Championships, presented by Supra returns to the mecca of wakeboarding on Aug. 27-30, 2009 at the Orlando Watersports Complex, better known as the OWC.

Since 2004, the WWA Worlds have been held in Australia, Texas, Nevada and most recently in Oklahoma. Last year, the 2008 Worlds featured 16 divisions, with 13 titles going to the United States and one title each going to Australia, Canada and the United Kingdom.

Supra will debut the all new 2010 Worlds Edition during the four-day-long event that features riders from around the globe vying for world titles in 20 divisions, separated by age and skill level. The event will be towed exclusively by the 2010 Supra Launch 24SSV Worlds Edition.

The 2009 Rockstar WWA Wakeboard World Championships, presented by Supra is a four-day-long carnival of water-sports action. But not all of the action takes place on the water. On land, fans will experience tons of great music and food, athlete autograph signings, chances to win free giveaways, and shopping at the most cutting-edge stores offering water-sports equipment, including boats, wakeboards, wakeskates, sunglasses and the latest in wakeboarding and surfing fashions

The WWA Wakeboard World Championships is also the fifth stop on the 2009 WWA Wakeboard World Series – an international showcase for the sport, which in its fifth year will visit four continents across the globe.
